“ An traditional Malaka and Chinese restaurant with authentic taste, couldn’t asking for more. Also, since i am an archaeology graduate, i loved the architecture. Still keeping the vintage stuff and facade. The hanging things, like picture with popular face and other things made this restaurant interesting. I think they should put more calendar (?) since the best thing to know wether the Chinese restaurant is good or no by seeing so much calendar inside it. Cmiiw, hahaha ”
“ February 19, 2024. Went for lunch at Kafetien 88 because it's close to Pasar Atom Mall, about 5 minutes away. Curious about the reviews, finally decided to try dining at an ancient Chinese-style restaurant. The price is affordable. Very cheap. 1 person 30k-50k The atmosphere and ambiance feel like stepping into ancient China. Many carvings and paintings from that era. My wife and I ordered several dishes. 1. Nasi Lemak with Chicken Curry Rice Overall, it tasted good, but the rice was a bit dry. The portion wasn't too big. If I may suggest, the chicken curry could be served together with the rice, so the curry sauce can soak into the rice. The sambal sauce lacked Malay authenticity. Rating: 3/5 2. Chicken Wings Overall, tasty. The skin was crispy, and the meat was juicy. The sauce was predominantly sweet. Rating: 3/5 3. Kaya Toast Butter Overall, the toast was really good. The filling was tasty, and the bread was perfectly toasted. Rating: 4/5 ”
